‘পছন্দের হলুদ জামাটাও আনতে পারলাম না’

মিয়ানমারের সেনাবাহিনীর দমন-পীড়নের মুখে বাংলাদেশে পালিয়ে এসেছে প্রায় চার লাখ রোহিঙ্গা। শিশু থেকে বৃদ্ধ—সবাই আছে এই দলে। এত দিনের সবকিছু ফেলে প্রায় শূন্য হাতে অচেনা একটা দেশে অনিশ্চিত জীবন তাদের। পেছনে আগুন, গুলি, হত্যাকাণ্ডের দুঃসহ স্মৃতি আর সামনে আগামী দিনগুলো কীভাবে কাটবে সে শঙ্কা। বিবিসি মুখোমুখি হয়েছিল এমন তিনজনের।
তাদের একজন শিশু আয়েশা বিবি। সাজতে সে ভীষণ পছন্দ করে। মিয়ানমারে থাকতে সাজগোজ করার অনেক জিনিস ছিল তার। কিন্তু আই লাইনার, পাউডার আর চুড়ি ছাড়া সে আর কিছু নিয়ে আসতে পারেনি। কেন?—প্রশ্ন করতেই সে বলল, ‘চার পাশে সবাইকে মেরে ফেলছিল। ভয়ে সবাই পালাচ্ছিল। তাই সঙ্গে করে তেমন কিছু আনার সময় পাইনি। এমনকি আমার পছন্দের হলুদ জামাটাও আনতে পারলাম না!’
রেহানা নামের এক গৃহবধূ জানালেন, ‘আমাদের বাড়িতে আগুন ধরিয়ে দেওয়া হয়। আমার এক ভাই আগুনে পুড়ে মারা গেল চোখের সামনে। এরপর প্রাণভয়ে পালিয়েছি। সঙ্গে কিছু আনতে পারিনি। নিজের স্বর্ণের জিনিসগুলোও না। জানি না কীভাবে সামনের দিনগুলো কাটবে।’

জাতিসংঘের অধিবেশনে যাচ্ছেন না সু চি

জাতিসংঘের সাধারণ পরিষদের ৭২তম অধিবেশনে যাচ্ছেন না মিয়ানমারের ক্ষমতাসীন দলের নেত্রী অং সান সু চি। তাঁর মুখপাত্র আজ বুধবার এই কথা জানিয়েছেন। 

বার্তা সংস্থা এএফপির প্রতিবেদনে জানানো হয়, রোহিঙ্গা সংকট নিয়ে বিশ্বজুড়ে সমালোচনার মধ্যে সু চি জাতিসংঘের সাধারণ পরিষদের অধিবেশনে অংশ নেওয়ার পরিকল্পনা বাতিল করেছেন।

গতকাল মঙ্গলবার নিউইয়র্কে জাতিসংঘের সদর দপ্তরে সংস্থাটির সাধারণ পরিষদের ৭২তম অধিবেশনের উদ্বোধন হয়েছে। ২৫

 সেপ্টেম্বর পর্যন্ত এই অধিবেশন চলবে। ১৯ সেপ্টেম্বর সাধারণ বিতর্ক শুরু হবে।

সু চির মুখপাত্র জ হাতয় আজ বলেন, মিয়ানমারের সু চি জাতিসংঘের সা

ধারণ পরিষদের অধিবেশনে অংশ নেবেন না।

কী কারণে সু চি সাধারণ পরিষদের অধিবেশনে যোগ দিচ্ছেন না, তার কোনো ব্যাখ্যা দেননি জ হাতয়। তবে তিনি জানিয়েছেন, সু চির পরিবর্তে মিয়ানমারের পক্ষে দেশটির ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট হেনরি ভ্যান থিও এই অধিবেশনে অংশ নেবেন।

সু চির দল ন্যাশনাল লিগ ফর ডেমোক্রেসি (এনএলডি) ক্ষমতায় আসার পর গত বছরের সেপ্টেম্বরে জাতিসংঘের সাধারণ পরিষদের ৭১তম অধিবেশনে প্রথমবারের মতো অংশ নেন সু চি। অধিবেশনে সু চির দেওয়া ভাষণ প্রশংসা কুড়ায়।

এবার এমন এক সময় জাতিসংঘের সাধারণ পরিষদের অধিবেশন শুরু হয়েছে, যখন মিয়ানমারের রাখাইন রাজ্যে দেশটির নিরাপত্তা বাহিনী ও কট্টরপন্থী বৌদ্ধরা সংখ্যালঘু রোহিঙ্গাদের বিরুদ্ধে সহিংস দমন-পীড়ন চালাচ্ছে।

জাতিসংঘের নিরাপত্তা পরিষদে আজ রোহিঙ্গা সংকট নিয়ে আলোচনা হওয়ার কথা রয়েছে।

রাখাইনে চলমান সহিংসতার মুখে সেখান থেকে পালিয়ে বাংলাদেশে আসা রোহিঙ্গার সংখ্যা ৩ লাখ ৭০ হাজার ছাড়িয়ে গেছে বলে ধারণা করছেন জাতিসংঘের কর্মকর্তারা।

রাখাইন পরিস্থিতির কারণে জেনেভায় জাতিসংঘের মানবাধিকার কাউন্সিলের চলতি অধিবেশনে তুমুল সমালোচনার মুখে পড়েছে মিয়ানমার। মানবাধিকার কাউন্সিলের ৩৬তম অধিবেশনের শুরুর দিন গত সোমবার জাতিসংঘের মানবাধিকারবিষয়ক হাইকমিশনার জেইদ রাদ আল হুসেইন বলেন, রাখাইনে যা ঘটছে, তা ‘জাতিগত নিধনের উৎকৃষ্ট দৃষ্টান্ত’।

জেইদ রাদ আল হুসেইনের মন্তব্যের জবাবে মিয়ানমার বলেছে, তারা কখনো গণহত্যা অনুমোদন করে না।

জাতিগত নিধনের অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করার পাশাপাশি জেইদের মন্তব্যের নিন্দা জানিয়েছে মিয়ানমার।
